What does Masterly offer?
Masterly offers individualized private lessons and "Gymivorbereitungskurse for Langgymnasium" in small groups.
Which subjects are taught?
A variety of subjects are taught: Mathematics, German, English, French, History, Biology, NMG, Geography, Economics & Law.

Where do the lessons take place?
Masterly offers online coaching. The lessons take place in a call via Microsoft Teams. You will be added to a team as soon as you have completed your booking. You will receive an invitation link via email when you log in for the first time.
How long does a lesson at Masterly take?
We maintain the rhythm that you already know from school. A lesson at Masterly lasts 45 minutes.
How can I book a lesson?
Click on the yellow "Buchen" button and follow these steps:
1. Select the desired course.
2. Choose any time slot.
3. Select the desired coach (optional).
4. Fill in your personal information.

Why are so many dates displayed when booking a private lesson?
When booking private lessons, you secure a specific time slot for the entire semester. The dates displayed show all event dates for the semester.
If you only want to book a single lesson, please contact us here. We will do our best to offer you a spontaneous appointment.
What happens if I have not selected a coach when booking?
If you have no preference regarding your personal coach, you will be assigned to a free, random coach.
When do I have to pay?
Private lessons: Payment is made on a monthly basis. An invoice will be sent by e-mail to the legal guardian at the end of each month. This must be paid within 30 days by bank transfer or via TWINT.
Gymivorbereitungskurs: An invoice is issued at the start of each module for gymi preparation courses. This must be paid within 30 days. If this period overlaps with the start of the module, payment must be made no later than the day before the first module date. A weekly installment payment can be arranged on request. In this case, a handling fee of 2% of the total module costs will be charged.
What payment methods does Masterly offer?
Masterly offers payment options via invoice, TWINT or direct payment by debit and credit card.
What are the rates for coaching?
The hourly rates depend on whether you would like to book a "Gymivorbereitungskurs" or private lessons. You can find the price list here.
Is it possible to cancel or postpone lessons at short notice?
Private lessons: The lesson must be canceled electronically and in writing by the legal guardian within 24 hours. Only weekdays apply. For example, if you wish to cancel a lesson that takes place on Monday at 16:00, you must notify us by Friday at 15:59 at the latest. If the 24-hour deadline is exceeded, the lesson in question must be paid for in full.
Gymivorbereitungskurs: The module can be canceled in writing by e-mail up to 30 days before the start of the module in question. The amount paid for the module will be refunded minus a cancellation fee of CHF 50.00 within 14 days. The refund will be made in the same way as the original payment. Once the 30-day period has expired, the module can no longer be canceled. Upon written request by e-mail, a transfer to another module can be requested up to 14 days before the start of the module. The price difference to the new module will be invoiced or refunded minus a transfer fee of CHF 25.00
Is there a possibility to get a free trial lesson?

How is communication between parents, students and coaches organized?
In principle, the coaches can be contacted via WhatsApp or telephone after making an initial appointment. Please note the opening hours here.
Are there any additional materials that will be provided?
Our team is extremely experienced and has developed its own materials on all topics over the years. Additional materials can be provided for private lessons on a wide range of topics.
A package of materials is provided for each module of the preparatory courses and sent home to the students. The package contains theory, exercises and mock exams.
Who can participate in "Gymivorberitungskurse"?
You need the following grades to be able to attend a gymnasium preparation course in the respective subject at Masterly:
German course: at least 5.0 in German in the semester before the course starts
Maths: at least 5.0 in maths in the semester before the course starts
In the event of a negative deviation of less than 0.5 grade points, a pupil may enrol in the gymnasium preparation course if he or she can present a written recommendation from the class teacher.
When registering for a course, a copy of the report from the previous semester must be sent.
